Hunnert Car Heads-Up!
The Hunnert Car Heads-Up is our new traditional drag racing event.
The Hunnert Car Heads-Up II is scheduled for May 8, 2010 at the historic Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI!!! We’re planning on a full day of traditional hot rod drag racing, including real flagmen (or women!)!
This will be REAL drag racing NOT exhibition runs!
Some things to look forward to at the Hunnert Car Heads-Up:
Car club vs. Car club races!
Mini bike drag races!
Heads up racing with gassers, A/FX cars, hot rods, dragsters, and even those low n’ slow customs!
Real flagman starts!
Grudge Matches!
Night of Fire!
Some people are concerned about not being able to run at an NHRA track. Why? Here are the rules for most traditional hot rods. If you can’t meet these, your car probably shouldn’t be on the road!
12 sec or slower (13 for roasters) you need:
1. double throttle return springs
2. seat belts
3. non-glass catch can
4. all your lug nuts installed; hub caps removed for inspection
5. metallic oil pressure line (no plastic)
6. fuel pressure gauge cannot be in cabin
